Prairie Loft offers unique and exceptional education programs that connect people, food, and the land. From field trips and community events to workshops, summer camps, and private gatherings Prairie Loft takes learning outside!

Our Place

We are unique. Prairie Loft is the region’s only program that offers a blend of agriculture awareness and experiential outdoor education. The 73.3 acres and original barns once served as an operational farm that provided thousands of people work and nourishment for over 80 years.

Today, at Prairie Loft, we cultivate new and deeper connections to the land, ideas, and each other to create a more active, aware, and appreciative community.

Thanks to thousands of donors, volunteers, and partners, more than 93,000 visitors have attended field trips, family programs, camps, community events, workshops, and other activities since late 2007!

Established as a 501(c)(3) in 2005. Prairie Loft has offered unique, experiential educational programming since 2008.

ACRES

Four renovated structures stand on the original 8.3 acres. In 2019, Prairie Loft partnered with the state of Nebraska to secure an additional 65 acres in a Land Management Agreement.

SUMMER CAMPS

Prairie Loft’s rustic barns on its beautiful property, make the perfect backdrop for an intimate wedding ceremony. With five locations to host a ceremony, Prairie Loft is a perfect, quaint location in Central Nebraska for a ceremony.
