Mission

Prairie Loft’s mission is to teach agriculture appreciation, outdoor education, cultural traditions, and the wise use of natural resources.

People

We are staff, volunteers, friends, and partners, cultivating community among people who value the importance of community, nature, and agriculture.

Place

The beautiful barns were once part of a working farm that fed more than a thousand people. Prairie Loft is located just west of Hastings, Nebraska. See map.

Programs

We began offering programs for all ages in 2007. Current activities include field trips, presentations, community events, facility rental, and collaborative programs with partner organizations.

Field Trips and Education Programs

We offer programs to schools, summer programs, homeschool collaboratives, and other educational organizations. All classes are hands-on and active, with a variety of activities in every session. Visit our Programs page for details, and Contact us to inquire about a field trip for your group!


Facility Rental

Prairie Loft has space available for meetings, retreats, birthday parties, and other events. If you are looking for a rustic space in an outdoor setting for your event, Prairie Loft may be the place! See the Facility Rental page for info and downloadable packet.


Community Events

Our seasonal community events provide learning and fun for all ages! By collaborating with community sponsors, local vendors, and partner organizations, Prairie Loft offers a wide variety of experiences at our scheduled events - rain or shine! Visit the Programs page for dates and details.
