About the 2012 Main Stage Performers
FRIDAY
After getting rave reviews at the Listening Room, Star Belle joins the Flatwater lineup for the first time this year! These three musicians from Utica, Nebraska create magic with their hot arrangements and flawlessly tight three-part vocal harmonies. These “Ukaladies” will knock your socks off!
For 30 years, Tex and Mary Schutz have performed classic Country and gospel across the country. They’ve gained a huge following with their longtime membership in the Mid-America Country Music Hall of Fame and their popular “Miles of Memories Country MusicFest”. Sit back and enjoy Tex & Mary’s smooth harmonies and engaging tunes!
Get ready for a Caribbean steel drum infusion of rockin’ fun! Soca Jukebox performs traditional island music and familiar contemporary hits. They give every song a unique Latin or Reggae twist, the very element that keeps audiences throughout the Midwest on their feet and coming back for more.
SATURDAY
Julie and her trio will draw you in with entrancing melodies, unique lyrics, and a glowing presence perfect for the Flatwater stage. She has landed national awards and Hollywood soundtrack gigs in addition to numerous guest appearances on national television. Come hear and see for yourself why she’s so popular!
Back by popular demand! The Toasted Ponies combine the best of both traditional and contemporary Bluegrass music with great harmony singing and hot instrumentals. A Ponies concert will include Bluegrass favorites along with a fun mix of Cajun, Western Swing, Gospel and Celtic tunes. Just try to see a Toasted Ponies show without tapping your toes—It can’t be done!
These incredible Colorado musicians return to the Flatwater stage. Chad, Carrie, Jessica and Chris play some of the best American old-time music you’ll ever hear. This is fiddle-driven dance music, but also includes ballads, songs and other folk musical styles. Old-time music forms the foundation of bluegrass and country music, and these musicians bring new life to it that’ll have you dancing.
